Introducing THE 2024 WRITERS ROUND-UP END OF YEAR REVIEW — a online pay what you can afford event for writers of all levels to take stock of their year and make plans for 2025.
The Writers Round-Up is a space to do the kind of thinking and writing about yourself and your work that we all need to do but rarely make the time for.
Over the 90 minutes, we’ll take a look back over the past 12 months, and:
take note of everything we’ve achieved as writers in 2024,
give ourselves credit and a pat on the back for a job well done,
pay attention to any area we might want to target for improvement.
We’ll then move on to 2025, setting intentions and both short and long-term goals around our work for the year ahead, identifying challenges and opportunities to keep our work fresh and to move forward as writers.
The session will come with a review workbook with probing questions to act as prompts to both our memories and imaginations, and the mood will be relaxed and reflective but fun.
While there will be opportunities to share some of our discoveries during the evening, no-one is obliged to do more than they feel comfortable with. As a neurodivergent-friendly event, all attendees are free to be on or off camera, according to their own needs.
At the cusp of the year, let’s come together and support each other as writers, in making plans and exciting promises to ourselves for all that awaits in 2025!

In the past 12 years, Angela’s poems have been placed or shortlisted in over 40 national and international writing competitions, judged by renowned poets like Liz Berry, Daljit Nagra, Wendy Cope, Andrew McMillan, Rebecca Perry, Doireann Ní Ghríofa, and former UK Poet Laureate, Dame Professor Carol Ann Duffy.
As well as being published internationally, Angela has many years experience as both a poetry editor and a creative writing facilitator, and knows what journals, competition judges and publishers are looking for when they read your work.
Recent students have won, placed or been shortlisted in national and international literary competitions, and had both individual work and manuscripts selected for publication with respected literary journals, anthologies, and publishers.
